serving the triangle and beyond
Chapel Hill Skate Program utilizes the engaging and dynamic aspects of skateboarding to promote functional skills, emotional regulation, coordination, and self-confidence in children and adolescents. Our evidence-based approach integrates traditional Occupational Therapy techniques with the sensory-rich and motivational aspects of skateboarding into sessions tailored to each client’s goals.
Our OT practitioners incorporate the physical and psychosocial benefits of skateboarding into every session to increase independence in the activities of daily living all while having fun. Whether working with neuro-divergent youth, children with sensory processing disorders, or teens managing anxiety, we meet clients where they are—on the board and beyond. Discover how skateboarding can be a powerful therapeutic tool for meaningful growth.
Occupational Therapy
In addition to our occupational therapy services we offer skateboard lessons for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re stepping on a board for the first time or looking to refine your skills, our lessons are designed to build confidence, coordination, and creativity.
Chapel Hill Skate Program is the only certified and insured skate lesson provider in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and is led by experienced instructors with backgrounds in both skateboarding and movement science, guaranteeing a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
From balance basics to advanced tricks, we tailor each session to meet individual goals—making skateboarding accessible and empowering for everyone.
